This castle located at a rocky bluff above the bend of the Vltava River was founded by Vítek of Rožmberk in the 13th century. Only the Jakobínka Tower has been preserved from the Early Gothic upper castle. The lower castle was reconstructed in Neo-Gothic style as a memorial to the Buquoy House. Latrán below the castle.
